Wait a year or two. All these people in their million dollar homes that are financed to the eyebrows will be in foreclosure. You should be able to buy a house, SUV, or any other luxury item for the cost of the bank pay-off.

I think it is quite likely the prices seem to be dropping a bit in the South of the UK in some areas. There could be a slump in the next year it is very hard for people to get onto the property ladder I'm still really cross with myself over not purchasing a house fifteen years ago for £42,000 and it has just been sold again for £399,000

Like most monetary things... this will cycle. It'll dip and rise for the next few years. I have noticed that they sometimes rise more than they fall. But that is because of inflation. Either way... its cyclical. The housieng market works in series of about 3 years. (which happens to be the half time the average person stays in a home)

According to the latest on television news shows, yes there is suppose to be a drop in housing sales soon. Already there is suppose to be a drop in the building of homes, guess that says something about what "might" be coming soon.

Six years ago my friend sold his house in West London because he'd heard that prices would crash.
He sold it for £245,000---the person he sold it to has just sold the house for £610,000.
