80% of humanity, the religious folks, don't need to ask the meaning of life, the church tells them....the supernatural explanation. But the rest of us can't swallow religious dogma, because there's no evidence. Nobody can prove that there life after death, that people are tortured or rewarded after life or that there's invisible spirits running around.

I've come to two conclusions recently:

1. Life has no meaning
2. Life has a million meanings.

First, there's a certainty that death and annihilation awaits not only you, but the Earth in general. It's an astonomical certainty that our sun will supernova and leave the earth a burnt crisp, not to mention all the other extinction level events around the corner.

Second, the million things that give us meaning are the pleasurable experiences we can conjure up during the short period we are here on the earth, in the form of the relationships we have with our kids and other people, and the 'housekeeping' types of purposes. What i mean by that are the curing disease, ending hunger, improving literacy, reducing crime, preventing war, helping other kinds of things.

The purpose of "life" is not the same for all. I feel the Creator has our paths before we appear here on earth. And I believe we may never know and/or understand our purpose in this life time - some of us are here for others to have a purpose!!

If by some chance there is some purpose that applies to all life, no one knows what it is. We can only guess. Or, we can create our own purpose and live to fulfill that. Life doesn't tell you what its purpose is. You just have to find a way to live with that.

~~ You are a Spiritual Being having a temporary Human Experience in Earth School, the purpose for which is that it allows your Soul to "grow and mature". Each one of us advances at our own pace, via reincarnation (died and "Born Again"), until we reach Enlightenment or Buddha Conciousness or Christ Conciousness (Christos),,, then we're ready to graduate to another solar system in the vast universe,,, or to another plane of existence. The reason we don't remember Past Lives is because it would be akin to having the answers before The Test, which is not conducive to Learning. Right now in Mankind's Collective Developement we are required to grasp The Love/Compassion Concept as our Primary Goal, as the Great Teachers and Sages have suggested for millenia. Warning !! Stay away from Oraganized Religion and concentrate on "The Golden Rule", accept your tribulations with "Grace", as well as your "Blessings", and you will be on the fast track.

The purpose of life is death! It's what nobody can get out of you may delay it a bit but ultimately we all die! It's not about making money love or any other thing others will say! The purpose of life is death!

Life is the result of... The question has no basis. What the question should be is "What is the purpose of a life"

Our purpose is to glorify God in all we do, say, think and how we live day to day. He has also trusted each of us with a "story" in which we live with our family, friends, etc. - it can be exciting when we have our faith and hope in Jesus and we can look forward to eternity, knowing this life is just a brief preface to it. This life is but the infancy to our eternity. Does that answer your question?
