I have this male friend. He's been dating one of my girlfriend's. She dumped him the other day. Not really sure of the reason. The poor guy is destroyed. He won't belive it's over. He cries and begs. The guy is in so much pain. He has grown children who don't know how to handle this. What do we do to help him through this?

Sex. Sex. And more sex.

This is one of those things that just takes time; He needs to be around friends that keep him occupied and not in constant reminder of the girl he recently lost! Try talking to him and letting him know that you're sorry that things didn't work out the way he'd hoped, but keep in mind that this wasn't your fault either, they both were adults and knew what kind of problems they could face in a relationship! Let him know you are there for him if ever he needs to talk and whatever the situation is between the two of them don't change the way you feel about either of them! Good luck!

You never stated how long your girlfriend & he
were together so,since this guy is your friend too.
All you can really do is stand by him.so he has someone
(a friend as you)and his grown children to talk to.
Other then that there is nothing anyone can do for him.
Hopefully he will heal on his own. That way he can get on with his life.
Time heals broken hearts.

U need to talk to him and tell him that there is a perfect person for everyone and that wasnt his perfect person.Ppl are goin to break ur heart. But a great guy like that should stop beggin and let her realize what shes done. Also ask her what her problem is.If she didnt love him..why did she even bother......im sure he'll find someone alot better, caring, loving, and someone who wont do that to him.Good Luck!

I'm guessing you aren't going to give him sex to help him, so we'll go from there.... Get him into regular daily routines, but take him away for a long weekend away. He needs to cry it out & then move ahead with some self respect. The girl owns the problem, not him. Good luck!!

First off don't enable him. Right now he is crying out for attention and playing the victim. You and everyone else around him needs to simply say that your sorry for his loss but that he still has a life and responsibilities to deal with. We all lose people we love in one way or another and we have to deal with it and move on with our lives.

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but you can't help him get over it. You can talk until your blue in the face and I guarantee he's not going to listen to a word anyone has to say. He just has to work through it in his own way. Just be there for him and be his friend.

You are helping him. Just be there , call him, listen to him.
Try to find some things he can do to keep his mind off of his
lost love.

I don't think you can help him. Getting over someone is something that he has to make himself do. You can distract him by taking him to do things and whatnot, but the actual getting over her part is up to him.

He needs to be alone, but its ok to console him or even cry with him.

When he starts to feel better, take him out. Let him know that there is someone out there BETTER for him.
