Yes, one person starts posting drivel over and over again, and then others join in. We have tried to point out the harm in this, that it clogs up the boards for people who truly have LGBT questions or need help, like suicidal LGBT teens. But it falls on deaf ears.

Even worse are the people who seem to have an axe to grind or hatred to preach against LGBT people. Although occasionally one of them sees the light and apologizes, Yahoo does nothing to block the IP of such people, and they reappear under various other screen names, now that they have seen others do the same thing.

I'm sorry I don't have a solution, but I agree it is a problem. You also have free-speech advocates saying "everything is cool, everyone should say anything they want." If the reporting option is ever taken away, so that abusive hatred has no repercussions, I will no longer be a participant here.

Don't reward them with attention. I think the hardcore haters don't do the harassing. It is adolescents laughing their a sses off at our frustration.

Pay no attention to the noise = noise stops as they move on to "politics, religion/spirituality". They are just looking for someone to insult. Of course we will always catch some jokes, because LGBT is a raving joke to young, silly straights.

Have a great afternoon all-- :)

Yes, I'm seeing that too. Seems to be getting worse but this is why I just scan the questions before even putting out the energy to reply. Come to Y! Answers in the "gay and lesbian" section and see how many non-gay and non-lesbian idiots there are on this planet!!! LOL!!!!

Because 90% of whats here is chatting , homosexuals dont come here to ask questions , they come here to get a pat on the back and an "it's OK buddy"

This site might be taken seriously by yahoo if gays went to a chat room to talk.

Because we're a soft target for all the loser-types who get minor (or major) thrills from being annoying, and the attention being annoying gives them.
If there was a category for "Geeks" or "Nerds" they would probably leave us alone....
Everyone is right though, it's now like going through your junk mail. You just weed out the good from the bad.

The questions in the GLBT room have seriously gone downhill since the haters, bashers, etc have started coming in here to get their jollies by spewing their hatred at us.

I personally refuse to let them get to me. I just ignore them all now and only address the ones that are real questions.

If everyone would ignore the trolls, they really would go away.

But of course, for some feeding them is too tempting so the trolls will never leave.

tell me about it.
if its not a hater, its a impersonator, or a clone, or a idiot

people do not realise that if you just IGNORE and then REPORT they will give up eventually. Sadly a lot of people just answer them and give them what they want
