well many germans and citizens of gemany tried and succeed many times to help jews escape
corrie ten boom is a great example try to look some stuff about her
and i dont exactly remember where but after the germans captured a twon they said that all the jews had to wear the star of david and that they were going to execute them and for one day all of the citizens of that town worn jewish stars tillthe germans just started ramdomly killing people.

Absolutely. In many of the Eastern European countries they offered up the strongest resistance. They also had an almost "underground railroad" like system going.
