Pay a whole lot of money. It varies from race to race, not all tracks sell them, and they only sell a limited number of them per race, and they usually sell out fast.

You may not be able to get an actual pit pass. A lot of people say "pit pass" when they really mean a "paddack pass." These are reserved for race participants and a few limited press credentialed people. The pit, that is, the area directly behind the pit wall is a very hectic and dangerous area. Someone who does not belong there risks injury to himself and others because they are not familiar with the routine and movement of people and equipment.
Imagine, a curious race fan, fiddling with switches and valves of fueling or safety equipment.
What you MAY be able to get is a paddock pass. Think of the paddock area as the "garage" area, where cars are prepared and repaired for the races. There are clearly marked, "restricted" areas, but you get access to drivers and crews and are allowed a pretty close view of the cars and race activity. I can also tell you that the paddock is the WORST place to get a view of the race. But it is a GREAT place to get pictures.
A paddock pass should be available from the same ticket office from where you purchase the race ticket.

Check with the NASCAR credentials building at the track you go to.Some tracks only offer a pit tour where you pay extra and gets to roam the pit area for about an hour prior to the race.

I get Pit Passes at MIS for about 50 bucks a pop. It is well worth it as you can get so close to the drivers and crews. I think what you may main is a garage pass, which are only given out the media as far as I know. Unless you know a member of the media you are pretty much out of luck with that.

i'm no longer a great fan of Jimmie Johnson, yet i might quite holiday around the track at finished velocity than win the bristol tickets with pit passes. i think of it may be cool strapped in the passenger's seat with a helmet on, driving all over the realm's quickest a million/2 mile. i do no longer in all threat hate any Nascar driving force. additionally like others have stated, getting bristol tickets is plenty extra handy to get than a holiday with a cup driving force.

Call the track I think a few weeks before or when you purchase your tickets see if they have that option but usually if you call the track you can get one if their not sold out because they only have a limited number they can give out.

Usually you have to know someone that works for the race team or someone that works for the sponsors. Hope you find them!
