i have internet explorer and firefox can i add more browsers

All the browsers you want. But I see no strong reason to have many of them. Try the best ones: Internet Explorer 7 (beta), Opera, FireFox.
To overload your computer is not a good idea. To have as small amount of programs will help you to keep order in your system and will help your computer to have a better performance.

Why would you need more?
Yes you can have as many web browsers as you want, but there are only a few that are secure. Just download the Internet Explorer 7, I think it is still a beta version, and you don't need anymore.
Some browsers don't have security agains trojans or spyware.

There is no limit to the number of browsers, mail programs, or any other internet application. As they are run they are able to sort out what messages go to each and in theory could all be run at once.

yes you can add as many as you want ... others include opera and I'm not sure the name of the others. But you really only need one, some web cites are not compatible with other browsers.
