They will say it isn't Bush's fault (but yet it was his fault when it was low...), or they will say something else about the economy, like gas is still to high (also, Bush's fault) or we have a huge debt (obviously not because we are at war, but because cons like to spend money on useless things like troop body armor. But what should we expect from the party of complainers?

yes the dow har an new high and what did the left have to say about the old highs during there achievments.
the bad think about new highs is there is always a recetion that followes .
see the last time there was a new high 3 months later it crashed and it has taken 7 years for it to come bacck up .
and unfortunately (and I'm not saying anything about a patry here ok)this new high is built on a tangable comodity and is extreamly volital by that I mean if the oil companies are routed in congresss then all this record setting is for not .
see the powers that be have the economey and the people by the short ones if you know what I mean and just incase you dont they got the american way of life by the balls .
there is no new industry to account for this high as a matter of fact there is sagnificant evidence that the old industries in this company will be belly up with in the next 15 yrs. so were is all this coming from ,if we dont open our eyes to the fact the water is warming up we will be cooked before we ever get a chance to jump.
but for now we should be celebrating a strong gain and praying that its not a big facade.

I was floored when, late last week, as the DJA approached the record, a financial pundit on CBS was saying the new high was not a big deal. (paraphrasing) "After all," he said, "it only means we've finally gotten back to where we were in 2000 - during the Clinton administration. It simply points out that we as a country have made no progress whatsoever in the past six years."

I found his statements so biased and absurdly founded that I found myself yelling at the television (a rarity). He had managed to dismiss the recovery from the 2000 recession and the post-9/11 slide in two sentences. No wonder the people who rely on network news for their daily information think things are so bad. How could this possibly have been spun any more blatantly?

Same way they made Abu Musab al-Zarqawis death or the WMD that were uncovered seem insignificant. The more garbage they spew the more people believe them, even without the facts.......
