I'm a very good student and down to earth,really.I just follow trends and fashion and people i used to hang out with(not my best friends) look at me sideways in a quirky manner because of the way i dress.Although I could have been the geek i don't snub them!they do.....

I think that your friends are jealous. There's something about you that they don't have and they envy you. Any person that is jealous of you is not your friend. You have this down to earth personality and you have your very own taste in fashion and that is something that your friends want. Jealousy is a waste of time, not to mention drama and heartache. Make some new friends who will not be jealous of you. Stay the person that you are and DO NOT change yourself for nobody. Keep doing your thing girl and focus on the most important things in life.
