Talk to the landlord. Some are willing to work with tenants. If you have a steady job - that you have worked at for a long time, tell the landlord that. If you could afford to pay a little more each month - and break up the 'moving-in costs' over a period of a few months along with the rent, maybe a landlord would consider this. Also, ask your employer if he/she would be a reference for you, stating that you are responsible and tell the landlord about your work ethics. It never hurts to ask (the landlord and the employer), and you won't know unless you try. Good luck.

well if you dont have decent credit or a co-signer you need to find a landlord that will not require a credit application, their are some landlords out their.. You can always look in the ads for room-mates wanted and go from their.. when you are looking for a room to rent the renter usually does not want a application they just want to make sure you can pay your rent.
Or you can get a friend that has good credit and do it that way..

Unless you can prove to the renter that you are not a credit risk they will ask for a co-signer. If your debt to income ration is too high and you lack a really good credit score there is probably not much you can do other than find a cheaper place.

you may sign a hire at 18, like all criminal settlement. yet will absolutely everyone be keen to grant you a hire? possibly no longer. in view which you're able to have a earnings to cover the hire and familiar credit. you may desire to discover a roommate with a co-signer, which may be the superb way.

i wasnt aware you needed a co-sign to get an apartment...i got mine without one...go to craigslist.com and most of the apts in there do not require a credit check...when you get to the main page, just go to your state and browse apts for rent...good luck
