We're moving to Texas soon as well. I'd suggest Victoria.. It's very clean, friendly people, good-sized, lots of things to do, and about a half hour away from the ocean. But, out of the three you have it narrowed down to I would pick San Antonio. San Antonio was beautiful when we visited. It was a pretty cool town. Houston was pretty bad. Although it's about an hour away from the ocean (which is a plus for me!) it was kind of dirty and it just wasn't very pleasant. Spring, TX is another great city (right outside of Houston actually). You can get a 4 bdrm, 3 bath, 2 story house with a pool for about $120,000. Spring, TX is a beautiful town with lots of trees (the highway goes right through a great little forest type thing which is just gorgeous). Anyway, good luck on the move and since Texas is about the best place ever I'm sure you'll be happy no matter where ya end up...God bless!

I'm from Houston, and I love this city. Things have gotten worse since Hurricane Katrina, but it's still a great city. Austin has too many stupid college kids and hippies, San Antonio is nice though, pretty small though.
