I have to admit it doesnt look good.

I know I've been dogging yankee fans lately, but that is only because I am really afraid of them. What team wouldn't be?

If The Tigers win1 of the first 2 in NY, it is possible we could take 2 in Detroit. Anything is possible.

Although it is highly unlikely The Tigers beat the yankees.

But it could happen. The Gods of Baseball have been smiling on The Tigers all season, and it aint over till it's over!

I would sell my first born if that would guarantee a Tiger win of the series. She is 33 and probably wouldn't like it.

Truly if it were before the All Star break I would say that the Yankees did not have a chance but the Tigs have suffered a lot lately and their fans along with them. If Leyland can get them seriously re-grouped (and if anyone can, he can) than I DO think that they have a fighting chance Jeter or no Jeter!

The play-offs are a whole different ball game. Look at those other famous Detroit teams the Red Wings and the Pistons. Best records in both their sports and they sucked in the play offs. Let's hope the Tigers can reverse that AWFUL trend!

I would LOVE to see the Tigers get back in their groove and whoop the Yankees (my least favorite team in MLB).

As for people talking about how the Yankees have the best paid team and that's why they win, I don't think that is entirely true. The Twins have one of the lowest paid teams and they have some of the most talented players in MLB...pitchers Lliriano and Santana, AL batting champ Mauer, potential MVP Morneau...

I think, if Detroit finds some major encouragement and optimism, they could take the Yanks out!

HOPEFULLY!

The Blue Jays made some great off season strikes and are lots extra competivite than they ever have been earlier. Rios and Glaus are enjoying great - Ryan has in simple terms been a dominating nearer (extra valuable than i'm having a wager the Jays even anticipated) and Halladay is back to his Cy youthful sort (10-2 3.22ERA). i don't think of it rather is a controversy of drawing near solid - interior the AL East, against NYC and Boston, it is going to be a marathon not a August sprint to the genuine. Toronto has to maintain on %. with the Sox and the Yanks because of the fact the wild card will come out of the East so they're going to would desire to be a minimum of close to to the genuine by potential of the top of September.

There's an old saying that has held true many times in the past: You play the game to win. The Yankees are a giant hurdle indeed, but there is no reason to believe the Tigers can't win. Sit tight, grab a drink, and enjoy the ride. Go Tigers!

The Yankees have a better team...1-9 they are killer...the Yankee bats will wear out the Tiger bullpen...and when you have Mariano in the pen it is a done deal...Yankees in 3

Only Tigers fans... and probably only half of them.

The Yankees overmatch Detroit in every aspect, even with Randy Johnson out of the lineup.
