She asked me if i was interested in moving into her duplex, she told me not to feel pressured because she has other options. My husband said it doesnt matter to him, so its all up to me. She rents out the upper to her mother-in-law.

Depends, it is like an open invite for her to come around anytime now. I have rented from my in-laws and they thought because we were living there it meant they could pop in and see what was going on when ever they wanted. I felt no matter how clean I kept the house that they didn't feel it was good enough. I felt like they were always inspecting me on everything and anything. I couldn't wait to move out and buy our own place so we could have the control again. Good luck with the whole thing. Just thought I'd share with you what happened to me.

It depends if you guys get along or not...
because you need to make sure that if you guys fight (you and your husband)or have different point of view on things that she would not get in between and defend only her son...and that would not try to fix veyrthing cuz you adn ur husband have to figure it out...also what if you and your mother in law gets in a fight you husband wouldnt know which side to take or something like that.. . you have to see how your relationship is with her and so on...

oh yea make sure she is not liek marie on eveyrbody loves raymond..lol

I dont see a problem with it, as long as you get on with her, and she isnt the type of person to just come barging into your home when she feels like it. You need your privacy and space. Depends a lot on your relationship with her.

That would depend on the realtionship that the both of you have with then and if she is the intrusive type. If you have a good relationship and she is not intrusive I see no reason why not.

I would say as long as there is a written lease agreement that both parties agree on, then there shouldn't be any problems.

If you like her and you both get along fine then I say why not as long as you set some rules.
