im having trouble with this..... like lets say its 1:15pm now, and i need to know when 12:0amPDT is in eastern time, or something like that.

Eastern time is always 3 hours ahead of Pacific time (PDT=Pacific Daylight Time, but doesn't matter if it's day or night -- eastern is always 3 hours ahead of Pacific)

12:00 PDT is 3:00 Eastern

If you are in the east & want to know the time in the west add 3 hours. If you are in the west subsract 3 hours. 1:15pm PDT is4:15pm eastern. Got it//

Eastern time is 3 hours ahead of PDT. So at 12:00 a.m. PDT, it is 3:00 a.m. Eastern.

For each time zone, add one hour for each zone East, subtract if traveling West. Pacific Time =12, Mountain Time=1, Central Time =2, Eastern Time =3

Eastern time minus 3 hours equals PDT.

PDT plus 3 hours equals eastern time.
