Ok, I missed Girlfriends Sunday night. Can anyone tell me what happened on this seasons first episode?

What's going on with Joan and Will? Who (if replaced) plays Toni? What's happened with Darnell and Mya?

Hmm, let's see if I can do this. I was watching the show but I was cooking and talking to my mother at the same time...so, her we go.

The show begans with Joan bieng in New Orleans helping build houses for the Hurricane Katrina victims. She meets this guy (I can't remember his name) that is also volunteering there and they talk briefly and Joan kind of recaps what happened last season. She tells him that she has spoken with both Maya and Lynn but she has tried to call Toni numerous times (I think she said 27) but Toni will not return her calls.

So Joan heads back to L.A. where Maya is having this party at her house (I believe it was a welcome home party because you know that her and Darnell went to Florida so that he could be a part of a pit crew), she comes in and hugs Lynn and Maya and she is asking where Toni is. Both Lynn and Maya are looking at each other all dumbfounded both asking each other "didn't you tell her? I thought you told her ". So Maya (or Lynn, I can't remember) tells Joan that Toni was about to move to New York in 2 days. They also tell Joan that William and Monica are engaged (they also show that part at the beginning of the show but it wasn't nothing to get all excited about).

Anyways, so Joan goes back to her house and calls Toni basically begging her to call her back saying that they need to talk but of course, no call back. There is this other scene where Darnell and William are talking about what happiness is to them. Darnell talks about how he is not truly happy doing the pit crew thing and he would rather be home in L.A. with his family. William talks about his relationship with Monica, again nothing to get excited over.

The last scene was Maya and Lynn sitting in Joan's bedroom talking to her about Toni's going away party. They are telling her that she should go but Joan is playing that hard a$$ and telling them that Toni is just up to her old tricks again and she is really not going anywhere. Maya and Lynn leave and we see Joan take off the sweatsuit that she has on and underneath it she has on a dress.

Ohh, and to answer your question, I don't believe that they are going to get anyone to replace Toni but that do have another Jabori. Man, speaking of Jabori, since Toni is leaving, who is going to completly mess up his name.
