Well, I guess you can if you want to. I wouldn't recommend it and I personally don't like tattoos, and if I were going to get one, I surely wouldn't do it during pregnancy.
However, everyone is meticulous about sterilization at tattoo shops now so the risk everyone else is talking about is minimal. But, depends on where you're going to get it. I wouldn't recommend a fresh one on the stomach/breast area, obviously, maybe not even on the butt/chest/leg area, anywhere that's going to expand during pregnancy. Why stretch out a nice fresh tattoo?
If you are still set on doing it, I think places like the ankle, neck, lower back should be ok, especially in the first trimester. Have you considered a temporary measure, such as henna?

If you suppose she'll feel good about going, then I do not see any challenge, But seeing as how you are asking right here, it kind of feels you'll be having doubts, so I could surely re-believe it, might be talk along with your general practitioner. Is there a likelihood of having a sitter? But both method, Mommy, I'm definite you'll be able to do the correct factor! Good good fortune, and gongrats to whoever is graduating! edit: Definitely ask the general practitioner on the checkup. Doctor can be capable to deliver you the first-rate recommendation so far as her well being is going :) If you are taking her, bring her in a sling so persons would possibly not be tempted to contact her, this may additionally preserve her dealing with clear of any germs within the air. But actually, the contemporary air would also be well for her. Love that identify, btw.

Most studios have made it a policy not to perform tattoos or piercings on anyone pregnant or breastfeeding. When you get a tattoo or piercing, you face a small chance of an allergic reaction or an infection. It just isn't worth the risk when you can just wait a few extra months and then get the tattoo or piercing you desire.

I guess it just depends on where you're going to be tattooing! But I wouldn't risk it carry a new life inside of me. Anything could go wrong. Dirty utensils, infections etc. I just would wait until I had the baby. You have to put your child 1st! After you have the baby then give your body a chance to heal. Then consider doing the tattoo. I mean after all tattoo are just identifying marks when you wind up on a slab. I know, I work in the morgue!

It isn't a good idea especially near the end of your pregnancy.
The reason behind it is that often time the body will go into light shock when they are getting a tattoo or piercing done. They get a rush of adrenaline to stop the pain.
It has been documented that some will go into labour because of this.
I waited till I had given birth before getting my labret done. It is at most 9 months. By that time you can research who you want to do your tattoo, the perfect location and maybe even get it air brushed on to be sure it is exactly what you want.

Not a good idea! They're are several health risks that are at stake when getting a tattoo; especially when you're pregnant, the main one is hepatitis, and that is something that can be passed along to your unborn child! I'd definitely wait until your child is born! Be patient; just a few more months! Congratulations!

I would advise to not get a tattoo while pregnant, and just wait those extra months until after you have the baby to be safe, you need to think about your baby most of all.

i would say yes because most tattoo shops are required by law to be clean. the only thing is with a tattoo and being pregnant is where you get it. my niece had a shooting start on her lower tummy and it was very pretty befor she had her baby, but now that she has had it it has stretch marks all through it and it looks bad now. i would say get it where you are not going to get stretch marks at.

No I don't think so. Good tattoo places won't even touch you. Besides you usually have to sign a waiver saying all kinds of mum-bo jumbo and I remember being prego was one of the things you had to sign off on saying "you are not". Just wait till it's safe for you and the your baby.

no, no, no, no, no!! It's extremely bad for you! The shock on your body, higher chances of infection, the ink entering your body; all of those things will cause harm. You can't get piercings either. I have 6 tattoos and a back piece and believe me, I want one too again, but you still gotta just wait.
