I had the shot, and it's not as bad as it seems. I would reccomed the Copper IUD because it has no hormones lasts 8-12 years and there is less than 1% chance of pregnancy. You do have to be in a monogomus relationship, but IUD's work well and are fool-proof.

The best way is the KEEP YOUR CLOTHES ON method. But since this is unrealistic you will need to discuss this with your doctor to find the one that is best for YOU. I can suggest one or another but you are the one taking those extra hormones into your body.
My suggestion is the new shot that leaves you with your period once every three months. It balances your natural hormones with the extra best. Norplant is good to, your body only absorbs enough of it to avoid pregnancy.

dont get the shot, it ruined my body, i bled for 6 months straight, it also messed with me emotionally...its also very bad for your bones...any BC will have "scary" side effects but everyone's body is different...im on the NuvaRing now and i love it, aside from a stomach ache after insertion, but call your doc for some more options
