I think you can live with them as soon as your married....had friends who got married, he went to boot camp, then after he was stationed she went to join him....I'm sure plenty of relationships work..you just have to be committed and love the person...as in any relationship...

I married my husband while he was in the Marine Corps, there is a waiting list for base housing. You get married, yes they need proof, then you are put on the waiting list. You don't live with all the other guys in the barracks so you do have to wait. It depends on how long the list is, and what his rank is. It took us like 4 months, some people have been on the list longer. Good luck with the whole thing, I know how hard it is to be away from the one you love. Oh yeah, base life is totally different then life off the base. I felt very safe and secure there and everyone was very friendly. Yes it can work for you two, it depends on how the two of you handle everything as a couple. My husband and I have been married now for 8 years.

Well you can go live with him as soon as you two are married. I am not going to judge on whether or not you two will stay together for very long. It's just that most people I know have husbands or wives that end up cheating on one another, it's a shame. But if you two have a real strong bond then who says love can't last forever? Good Luck.

Marry him and live in the barracks? Oh honey...you don't want to do that.
For most junior enlisted men it costs $$ to have their wives tag along. The military will usually pay a stipend for senior enlisted men and officers but if he's a plain old hill humping private I wouldn't be too hopeful.
