No, I'm out and about... I'm in the Mortgage Industry and kind of self employed.. So It just doesn't matter..
My friend though was a sub teacher in grade school.. When she was doing that she was very closeted... especially when subbing in the area where she lived.. It just comes with the territory until you have been there for years and you have a permanent position... So hang in there.

I've never seen a reason why ones sexual preference has anything to do with the work place. There should be no reason to actually hide it, or lie about it, but there's also no reason to make a big deal about it. Why even bring it up?.......it's nobodys business but your own, anyway. I'm straight, so maybe I'm missing something here, but I don't understand why "coming out of the closet" translates into wearing your sexual preference "on your sleeve". You were hired to do a job. Do that job to the best of your ability, and leave your sexual interests for your off hours. That's what people are suppose to do.

I don't think you should be in the closet any where, let alone your job, but don't go bringing it up everytime you open your mouth, if in the right situation and sexual preference comes up, then speak on what you like, and if they have a problem with it, then its their problem, and if parents and other people find out, then let them come to you, and if there like, oh god your gay, what are your plans for these children, I personally would take offence to that, and would retort with something equally offencive, also it would be helpful to have the statistics for pedophilia, and especially school molestation, cause that shows that stright white men are 95% of the cause, not to mention every now and then straight white women are the cause, and I think gay men and women are like 1% IF ANY!!!

My Boss knows and a few of my coworkers but I am closeted mostely at work. Basically it is just because it is not any ones business what I do in my personal life at work. My boss knows because I like her and she is very supportive of homosexuals in the workplace. My workplace as a whole is gettng better but they still do not offer insurance to domestic partners yet.

Yup, closet at work too. I work in a call center where we are all ex- automotive technicians. I don't care if they know, but I don't bring up my personal life at work because it doesn't have a place in the office.

I'm seriously out at work! I just work 3rd shift stocking in a retail store, so no one really cares. Besides, many of my bosses are bi, lesbian, or allies. The only out transman just quit a few months ago.

it's not my company's business, if I decided to be out at work there wouldn't be any issues, my company supports gays, and even allow me to carry by partner on my medical insurance plan
