how do i save something to a disc?

Are you talking about Compact Disc? If you do,there's a lot of ways to do that. For example, a picture. Find the picture that you want to save in your CD. Then, go to My Computer, click the drive where your the CD is placed (Make sure the folder where the pic is, is open or the pic is in your desktop). Then, click and drag it to the CD window. After that, make sure to go to file and click copy files.
Another way is by using the save as stuff.

Click File - Save As

click the dropdown box, and change the drive to A:

Click OK or Save.
