THANK YOU FOR ASKING THIS!!!!!

you know last week i was thinking the same thing and so pissed at ESPN for ALWAYS broadcasting Yankee games on their channel. Last week, there were soooo many important playoff race games going on and what did they do? they showed the Yankees playing Baltimore. Its bogus!!! obviously the Yankees are paying a lot to get the games on there but next year I wont have to worry because I will be buying the MLB package on Direct TV

Im jkust glad to see i'm not the only one who sees this crap

Isn't the answer obvious? New York is, by far, the largest media market in the country, so of course the networks are going to seize any opportunity to show their games during peak television hours.

I know it might be frustrating to some who aren't fans of the Yankees, but there are economic realities in everything, including sports broadcasting. Can a Twins fan in Minneapolis really make an argument that their game should be broadcast in prime time, when their market is a fraction of the size of New York?

This issue comes up all the time, and I don't see the big deal. If you live in a huge market like New York, or a large market with a country-wide following like that of the Red Sox, then you're likely going to get the prime time game. Otherwise, we just have to watch our teams when they're on.

the two are quite undesirable, however the 2004 debacle must be between the main embarrassing in all of activities. think of the Yankees blowing a three-0 lead in the playoffs basically to lose the sequence 4-3 and then to the hated pink Sox. Yankee followers could nonetheless be gagging over that one and could for years yet to come. no longer making the playoffs this year pales in evaluation. Chow!!

Because the Yankees are in the largest TV market in America and putting them in prime time will deliver them a larger audience than Milwaukee.

The NL games are west coast games and the Yankees pull in better ratings. They are more fun to watch and have the best fans on earth.

The last part was pure opinion.
