very simple

transfer 2 to right
(x-5)^2 = 3/2
take square root of both sides

(x-5) = +/- sqrt(3/2)
add 5 on both sides
x = 5+/- sqrt(3/2)

(x-5)^2 = 3/2
x^2 -10x+25 = 3/2
x^2 - 10x+23.5=0

(x-5)^2=3/2

x-5=sqrt(3/2) or x-5=-sqrt(3/2)

x=5+sqrt(3/2) or x=5-sqrt(3/2)
