i think inyour first impression you can impress anybody with your external appearance but the same impression would not be the last impression. Like if you had not been good in your external appearance you may score impression later with your internal impressions. Hence, i believe first impression is always a temporary Impression:)

first impression may be the best impression but not the real one. because its only when we know the person very close we get his clear picture.

few years back BBC did a study on this subject. in one of their science programmes they broadcasted two interviews with the same candidate and the same board. in one interview the candidate answers well in the beginning and falters in the end . in the other the candidate falters in the beginning and answers well towards the end. the viewrs were asked give their opinion as to which interview the candidate did better and the majority opinion was that the candidate performed better in the interview where he answered well towards the end. the number of participants in this survey was in the range of > 20,000.
this study proves that the old saying is not correct and that we tend to base our judgement on the latest experience.

God's Gospel:

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23

"For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16

"That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:9-10
