to the first person who answered. i don' think that was his point. his point (i think) was that if we tell enough peoploe, and if they even remotely believe us, they would ask YA "is hawaii sinking?"

If you want to do this and get results, blog it instead.
Yahoo Answers is not a good place for this, because very few people see any one question -- maybe a dozen or so people.
However, a blog entry will almost immediately show up in blog search engines, it can be read by thousands of people, and a blog willl have a permanent link that people can easily go back to.
It does sound like a fun thing to do.
Now, I'll go open up a shop in Hawaii selling life preservers.

well it sure worked with california. everybody i talk to from back east says something about earrthquakes and that CA is going to sink into the ocean, which is something we started hearing about back in the 80s
