You can guarantee that your company is monitoring you. If you were to send out a Foley-type email or an email that threatened someone or a request for porn that horrified anyone near your desk, the result of that monitoring would have you out of the door so fast your rear end would bounce on the sidewalk outside. Even if you were just wasting time by staring at Yahoo!Answers for much of the work day that will become known to your boss.

Don't do anything on the network that you will have a tough time explaining when they ask you about it because they are legally required to keep an eye on what happens in their work place.

Everything you do gets logged. Whether or not your IT department has the time to read those logs is another story.

Typically what will happen is your boss will suspect something, (you're surfing too much and not doing your job) and will ask IT to look through that information.

Most logging software though is designed to track where you are going and what you are doing. So if you go somehwere you are not supposed to an email is sent to the administrators right away.

The catch is you don't know what sites your administrators want to watch.

Not by someone. By servers. If there is questionalble activity at the system you are using it will get flagged. Just follow the guidlines of proper internet use at the company and you won't get flagged.
