I haven't seen anybody dancing on the proverbial streets. Where do you live? Are they really doing it there?
As for me I just want to know why the GOP has been allowing this sort of cover-up to be going on for far too long.
Dennis Hastert, the speaker of the House, knew about Foley's twisted tales of using young boys for sexual gratification, yet he was told by Cheney to keep it under his hat, because if this news broke out the Republicans would be accused of being anti-gay. Doesn't Cheney know from his close family ties to lesbianism that being gay and being a pedophyle are two different issues?
I want to know why all these cover-ups keep occuring among the cronies of this president.

This is true to form of all Politicians exploiting what ever sick depraved demented or scandalous thing comes their way... when you are a politician you are either trying to stay in power or acquire power and will do or say anything to achieve that, so I'm not surprised at the reaction from the Dems or the GOP!

I'm disgusted with what foley did and yes he is sick. What I do love is watching the repubs who aren't sick and who were supposed to protect the pages scurry about covering there butts just like a bunch of rats running for the cheese.

It's cyclical.
To talk in basics, democrats want to feel needed; they want to be able to provide programs and help and solutions and money to people who are helpless. If a person is successful, then their role dimishes.
It's like a bad parent whose child leaves home. They gain some small sense of joy when Johnny comes rushing bad, poor and needy, because then they can revive their "I'll take care of you" role.
