We are leaving for Mexico in about 3 weeks. I realize that soon passports will be required for everyone, but that hasn't taken effect just yet. My husband and I will have our ID's and birth certificates. I have my child's birth certificate, but will I need anything else? When coming back from Tijuana recently all they looked at was the birth certificate, but this time we are flying to Cancun. Anyone had recent experience with this?? Thanks!!

Sounds like you're doing Mexico before the end of the year, so the child's birth certificate will be fine. Starting January 1, 2007, anyone boating or flying into Canada, Mexico, or any of the Caribbean islands must have a passport to re-enter the U.S., regardless of age. Starting January 1, 2008, anyone driving to Canada or Mexico must have a passport to re-enter the U.S.

Depends on what part of Mexico but definitely shot records or birth certificate and I would have both.

I think now you may be required to get a passport. we had to use our in Cabo. You may want to make sure you don't have to have a passport as well. Call your airline and they will help you out.

WELL YOU SHOULD BE FINE BUT I STILL RECOMEND THE PASSPORTS. YOU CAN GO TO THE PASSPORT CENTER IN L.A. AND GET IT IN JUST A FEW HOURS. JUST TAKE YOUR CONFIRMED TICKETS AND YOUR ALL SET. I AM SUPRISED YOUR TRAVEL AGENT DID NOT ASKED FOR THE PASSPORTS.

YOU DO IT THE WAY YOU SAID, BUT IN MEXICO IN MY PERSONAL LIFE, A U.S. PASSPORT IS 1k TIMES BETTER AND GOD FORBID SOME ISSUE COMES UP OVER THERE, YOU CAN ENTER THE U.S. EMBASSY WITHOUT NO PROBLEM'S. THE OVER WAY, YOU'D NEED TO WAIT YOUR TURN AND THAT IS NO FUN WHAT SO EVER!!SO PLEASE BE SAFE OVER THERE, WATCH YOUR KID ALOT!!!!!!!!!!!
I WISH YOU THE BEST VACATION!!!!!!!

you are able to deliver fruit and juices (take for my 2 boys) basically in the process the flight, you won't be in a position to introduce sparkling end result or vegetables previous immigration, so provide it on your lady in the process the flight and throw away each thing sparkling you nonetheless have earlier you bypass immigration and customs checkpoint. take excitement in the area!
