Search in Yellow Pages look for Paints.
You will get all the painters Phone Numbers.
Tell all of them to come to come and give estimate.
You will then know your estimate is low or high.

Ask your friends and neighbors for recommendations. Get at least 3 estimates and go with the middle rate.

Interior or exterior? I just had the exterior of my house and detached garage painted. The house is 1100 square feet and the garage is 800 square feet. The total cost was $3800.
