There is a friend who claims that he has decided he no longer wants to be with the other but have a healthy heterosexual relationship with just one woman, whom he has truly fallen for. I say that it is impossible, because one day in the future your mind will wander back to old territory.

No.
Actually, there is a such thing as bisexual (for the person that said there wasn't). Many people are interested in both women and men. What I find interesting is sometimes, with a bisexual person, they're more into the sex part rather then having a serious relationship with the same sex.
However, it is possible for a bisexual person to be faithful to their different sex spouse. It's the same thing as being faithful in a regular realtionship. I'm a female and I have a male fiancee, he loves me so he doesn't cheat on me with other women. Well, for a bisexual person, when they find the one they love, they stay with that person and since they love that person they don't cheat with another woman or a man! You get what I am saying. Just because they like the same sex as well as different sex doesn't mean that they're more likely to be unfaithful.
Infidelity occurs in relationships where peoples minds aren't right and where communication is lacking.

Do you think a heterosexual can choose just one woman and be happy forever? I say that it is impossible, because one day in the future his mind will wander to younger, prettier women.

How does it look phrased that way? If you believe a heterosexual man can be faithful, why would you not believe a bisexual man could be? His preference is what it is, and he cannot change that, but every human being gets to choose how he behaves. Many people can, and do, choose to be monogamous.

Yes he can settle down with a woman..and just like a heterosexual who sometimes sees an attractive person and admires from a distance..he may sometimes see a guy who looks good and think "that guy would be a good lay" and leave it at that.

A wandering mind does not mean he will wander.

There are plenty of people who probably THINK about cheating on their S.O., that does not mean that they do it.

And joy, you are an idiot. People like you are the reason mankind will never be enlightened.

He is the only one that could decide that... How faithful he is right now? And just because the other person is from a diffferent sex he is still cheating. EFIL

Bisexuals are open to both sexes, but they aren't sluts. If one person is their compliment, then they can be happy together and not miss screwing around with the other sex.
