No. Cutters don't go that far, usually. The average cutter just cuts to feel the pain and let them know they are still alive. We don't really do it to end our lives. Of course, their are always exceptions in everything in life, so yes, some cutters have gone all the way.

No, cutters are no more likely to commit suicide than other depressed people. It sometimes seems that they are more likely but its usually an accidental suicide from cutting too deeply in the wrong place.

I don't think that is the case.
Cutters get a form of release from the cutting, and they are placated, at least for a time.
People who commit suicide have a sense that all is lost, the world has abandoned them, etc., and they see no "light at the end of the tunnel".
Not necessarily so with a cutter, it is a different mindset.

i just moved from Korea and i had a couple of friends who were cutters and sometimes it bothered me but i was never afraid to tell them. i also gave my self the courage to help them with what ever they are going through. i think anything could happen in the moment that could push any of us to commit suicide. anyone is likely to do it.

No , cutting is a form of a cry for help.....it doesnt mean that they are more likely to commit suicide, in fact they are probably more likely to get help than anyone else.

No. It just means that they are more likely to mutilate themselves, a cry for help, than they are to take the next big step in offing themselves.

Stop cutting yourself, and get someone to give you a big hug. Sounds like you need one.
