Do you know if they are for real? Because I've been mailed for like two month and they keep telling me that I'm a winner but they need my credit card number to valid the prize.

The FreeLotto lottery scam email claims that the recipient has won money in an international lottery. The email is an attempt to initiate a dialogue with potential victims and subsequently trick them into sending money to the scammers responsible. There is no prize money.
This lottery scam users the name of a legitimate lotto website in an attempt to make its spurious claims more believable. The email is not associated with FreeLotto.com, a genuine lotto provider.

Its next to impossible to use a credit card to validate someone's identity for the purpose of awarding a prize. Usually if you order something on TV you will get a bunch of telemarketing calls and "special offers" and notices for prize awards for contests that you did not enter. Its a scam. Ignore it or give them a fake CC number. Tell them that the card number is 0000 0000 0000 0000 and the expiration is 00 of 00. When they say that its not valid (because those morons on the other end are going to try to run the number anyway) then give them all 1's and then all 2's and so on until they get the message that you are just yanking their chain.

This is a scam. Do NOT reply to the email and do NOT click any links in the email. And under no circumstances should you give them your credit card number!

They are fake!!! Fake!!! They just want your bank info to clean you out. Lotterys never need money upfront to claim any prize-period. Don't fall for it.
