i heard the playstation 3 will use blu-ray discs so can you watch blu-ray movies on a ps3

also i have an xbox 360, and microsoft puts those games on dvd-hd type discs. so will my xbox 360 play dvd-hd movies? and if so how?

no. xbox 360 only plays standard dvds. even with component video cables the resolution of the dvds cannot get beyond 480p on the 360. The games get up to 780p or 1080i with the component cables.

that is why i am getting the ps3. it is the only console that plays blue-ray which can handle the full 1080p resolution on my new bad *$$ tv.

btw, the Wii won't even play their games with resolution any better than 480p. Lame.

MS is going to put an hd-dvd player as an add-on much like the hard drive.
