with freedom and democracy comes a set of responsibilities, too! you still have to follow some rules

Responsible freedom is being able to act freely while understanding that with every action, someone else will feel the effects.

It means that you can be whatever religion that you want, but can't make fun of others for what they choose.

It means that you can raise a family safely, but that doesn't mean you should have 15 children (what a drain on resources).

It means that you can get cheap gas, but you shouldn't buy a huge wasteful vehicle.

It means that while we are free, there are times (airports, border control) you will get questioned and it may hold up your schedule...

Be a responsible American and not a stupid twit...

Not using your freedom to infringe on the rights (freedom) of others.

It's like the old saying: your right to wave your arms around stops at the other guy's nose. Your right to freedom does not permit you to infringe on the freedoms of others.

Nor does it mean you cannot be held accountable for your actions. Responsibility (the ability to respond) means that you are liable for your choices. And being free doesn't mean escaping the consequences of your chosen actions.
