Cininni, there's nothing racist about wanting to secure your borders and make sure everyone follows our immigration laws. If they have a sob story, they can tell it to the consular officer.

They don't pay taxes because they aren't working legally - it's not some federal loophole or something. If you're getting paid under the table, then nobody is going to take taxes from your paycheck. They're legally supposed to pay taxes, but if you're working illegally and in the country illegally, you're hardly going to worry about tax evasion.

Good idea. After all, they are receiving police and fire protection, along with subsidized housing, medical and education benefits, and probably social security checks. They should also be required to serve in the military. I'm sick and tired of having to "Dial 1 for English" and trying to decipher the Spanish signs in Wal-Mart, Leow's, etc.

Wow you are mean.... and racist.. Have you ever been scared ?they are here for a better opportunity .. beginning with jobs no one else wants to do . I'm sure including yourself. The only reason they are not doing taxes is because they can only find jobs that wont put them at risk of being sent back to their country. immigrants are really scared to get caught in this country. And by getting paid cash they feel safe.

They should NOT get breaks. They want to come here, let them pay regular taxes like the rest of us. No more, and CERTAINLY NOT LESS!

think about them too! get a for a minute in their shoes: they are in a foreign country, away from their families, with ,maybe, little money to spare! they should get a chance to improve their financial situation
