I went to BBC News online (http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/south_asia/5402756.stm) and they have a column that reported in the text that "various charities associated with militant groups also responded [to the Pakistani earthquake]"

Yeah right, so I know that the UN charity organization was down there too...but what maks me unnerving about this, is that the newscaster also reports/claims that these Muslim militant groups and their funding have tried to brainwash the poor victims of the earthquake into their militant camps!!!

What is the world coming to!! I have an Indian co-worker and he knows first hand of this country, he says they have hostile relations...Then I read another bit of news and Amnesty International is accusing Pakistan of cashing in on the war on terror for the US....

This is all too unnerving for the future of mankind and I don't know why I'm worrying about this when I have to finish 12 things off my to-do list

You're shocked that someone is trying to get political good will by helping out in a disaster?

Don't be. Happens all the time, even here.

Pakistan is a Muslim country, why the surpise that people ,while not practicing their faith, but consider that they are, would want to help out. When a Christian picks up a rifle and kills another human being, it is for the state not God. " You cannot serve two masters" , so if a Christian state is hit by a natural disaster, would we not go to their aid? And would we not emphasis how caring we are? Don't kid yourself, we act the same way as they do.

That is messup. It seems to bother because it makes the U.S. look bad. Here we are trying to help and then comes the brainwashers. They are using people dispair and tragedies to lure them in by providing help. Nothing in this world is entirely free, but it doesn't give militants the right to brainwash them. I guess you would have to be smart enough to do your research before you go listening and accepting what militants or anybody preaches you.

all religious nuts should be banned from aid work- read about what the so-called saint mother Theresa did- blackmailing people into baptism or no treatment, She said iy was more important to save the soul (ie convert hindu's on their death beds by coercion) than to save the body. not a good person, just another zealot.

The BBC isn't the best news outlet you know. And India is a terrorist state just like Pakistan.
