There should be that information in the instructions for the glue. If you do not have them try acetone. Many finger nail polish removers have acetone.

If you used the proper glue, then a hair dryer will have no affect on it. I have taken off hundreds of these.
Get a pair of channel lock pliers and adjust them to comfortably fit the sides of the mirror mount. Get a propane torch and light it and adjust the flame until it is about an inch long. While holding the mount with the pliers, put the flame on the metal mount and slowly move it around. Use caution to avoid letting the flame hit your windshield. DO NOT pull on the mount with the pliers, just hold it until the mount releases from the windshield. After it comes loose, let the glass cool down for about 10 -15 minutes. DO NOT put any cold water or cold rag on it, just let it sit. Remember, keep the flame off the glass.

You can use a heat gun to loosen the glue, however you will want to be extremely careful and not get things too hot. Also, have something to hold the button with, otherwise it can burn you or the interior.

The other option is to just get another button and glue it to the top of the other one.

Good luck!
I have done this before
use a sharp thin puddy knife and put it right on the seem, then strike it with your palm or rubber mallot (the knife not the button)

if your lucky it wont chip the windshield - usually wont but could happen.

dont use heat - you could crack the windshield.
