No they haven't and probadly won;t. It will always be one of those unsolved cases.

It fails to surprise me that the police haven't solved it. What amazes me is that the media, for all the coverage and investigation they've done on the murder of a sweet little upper-middle class white girl, have not solved the murder yet. Ordinarily, when a little white girl gets killed or kidnapped, the media is all over it almost instantly. For some reason, they've just been getting lazy.

Either that or they're focusing on news people give two tugs of a dead dog's dick about.

No. The guy that confessed to is what is referred to as a "confessing Sam" - someone who (oddly) confesses to crimes that they did not commit. His DNA does not match evidence at the scene. I think he just wanted to impress his sick friends or get attention. I think they should give guys like that a free cruise, and then torpedo the ship in the middle of the Pacific.

no they didnt and they probably wont because it happened such a long time ago that its hard to go back and start over.
