Having been in the martial arts for 30+ years, I've had some experience in this area. A Japanese company called Nikken makes special magnets for such a purpose. But be forewarned, these are not your typical refrigerator magnets (read that as "they are not cheap"). However, I found a site where you can get them wholesale, if you use the Promotional/Discount Code 679 at the end when you're ready to check out. www.Nikken-Wholesale.com Good luck!
PS: I use the Flex product and the Magboy portable massager.

Emu Oil has worked for my back pain. You can find it in Wal Mart. It's in the same area as the other muscle ointments, but it's neither stinky nor greasy (or at least the stuff I get isn't). It doesn't work quite like the others, as in it doesn't "heat" your muscles. My experience with it has been good, though.

Repeated treatments with ice are very good. 20 minutes on, 20 minutes off. Flexeril (Rx drug) is the best drug to get as a muscle relaxant.

Maybe alternate ice/heat 20 minutes on/off. Take an anti-inflamatory.

You may have to look online but first try the physical therapists and chiropractors to see if they have Sombra and if they will sell it to you. If you can not find that, there is a similar product call SoreNoMore.

Nice warm tubby or hot tub, then put some icy hot. Take it easy and just relax.
