Great question!!
I don't believe in love at first sight, or that love is blind. I think you have to find the right person, make sure that is the right person, and know you can love this person forever. You can't know in a split second, and you can't close your eyes to it either.

Love is blind - what a person will refrain from doing normally , love compels him/her to do that e.g., day dreaming, ignoring studies, doing crazy stuff
Love at first sight - the very first sight of the person mesmerizes so much that day/night only thoughts of that someone special prevails . 24*7 you think of that person only.
So, its after love at first sight or any type pf love , lovers become blind . It doesn't means that they stop thinking sensibly but yes most of the times, not as per required by the society or culture they live in .

I think that for being blind it can't come at first sight. What people generally mean by love at first sight is indeed attraction.

because love at first sight has nothing to do with love seeing, it has to do with a person seeing love. someone who is blind cannot see, but it doesn't stop him/her being seen! it's the same for love!

Because you fall in love with them on first sight and from then on your blind to all their faults. Unconditional love. Now I'm going to take my fingers off they keyboard so I don't tell you the down side to unconditional love.

Love is not blind. Only blinds falls in Love. Love never happens at first site. Only lust/sex happens at first site. Love is a verb which is to be done intentionally. That cannot happen at first site.

Try to see the lightening at close range, it is blinding at the FIRST SIGHT ! .... almost similar !
