They did, they just didn't want it to be leaked out. It would make them look bad. It was also good timing for the whiny liberals to actually grow balls and fight back like the repubs been doing (dirty). But of course they will find someone else who made a mistake years ago just so they can even things out.

Your all corrupt.

Probably not. It's not the kind of secret you share with people when you're a politician. I'm sure a lot of them suspected it. It's possible some of them found out but the whole party wasn't aware by any stretch of the imagination. The real question is if they all knew, how many of them would break party ranks and tell? Allegedly the Republican Party has many many child molesters. Do you imagine Foley will be the last one who's exposed over this?

Not only did the GOP know, the dems knew as well. Heard on Fox last night that many law makers warned pages about Foley. His behavior was well known and I think it is shameful that Congress (both sides) decided to keep this under wraps.

If the republicans knew so did the democrats—it had been reported to the people responsible for the Page program. The democrats simply waited for the moment which would create the greatest damage to make it public.

Maybe not the whole GOP but i'm sure some members knew. Of course they needed him to keep the seat so things just got sweapt under the rug.

Oh if you haven't heard, it's the Democrats fault for what Foley did, so I hear.

Of course they did. They were hoping to avoid another costly scandal that might affect the November elections.

Yes they knew about it a year ago. The House Majority leader Bohner told the Washington post that he talked to Hasert about it.

I am sure they didn't act on it right away...I heard it was known about a year or so ago. They couldn't quietly get him to resign for some personal reason, they had to wait for a knowing page to blow the whistle, so to speak??

Of course they did! The Republicans are all about hiding the truth from the people.
