It`s good that you are cautious and ask such a question. It shows that you are not a careless sort and do actually care about the possibility of becoming pregnant.
It`s good advice to use extra protection for the first thirty (30) days, and be as regular as you can with your times. Once the product is in your system it will be alittle more flexible as far as gaps in time of getting out of the routine each day, If you usually take it at 0900am in the morning then try and stay within four to five hours of that time each day.
For the products absolute best advice always call the toll free number they usually provide and ask the company representative or ask your M.D. if you truly are worried. I hope you stay happy and alert. Take care sweety.

No, not unless you miss a day or close to it. Then I would worry. How long does it take for it to be effective? 1 week or 1 month, that would concern me. Also, read the literature. It is not 100%. I am older and I have known more women that got pregnant on the pill. It's really not as effective as they let you think. I would also use spermicide or some other means if I really, really didn't want to get pregnant.

In my opinion, you won't be less protected. 30 minutes isn't bad at all. When it comes to hours (3-5 hours) or days (1 or more days late), that's when you should be more cautious.

while it is much more effective to take the pill at the same time daily, an extra half an hour here or there won't make a difference. if you miss a day and don't take the extra pill though, it could.

no!!! thirty minutes in not going to hurt you... even a couple hours wont hurt... but still use protection for the first 30 days until the pill starts working!

You're fine up to 12 hours! The one thing I do suggest though, is that if you've only just started taking them, it won't be until after you've taken the first packet of them that you can be really sure you're totally protected (well, we all know not TOTALLY protected, but you get what i mean).
