I have been married for 22 years, yet was married before and my 1st husband, GOD bless him, used to do that. I didn't understand it at all until I stepped back, watched. I figured it out. His mother was great at everything she had ever done, from cleaning, cooking, bookkeeping, managing a houseful of rugrats and putting up with marriage in general.

I decided that I'd better learn to be the one he depended on and at the same time get to know my mother in law. My motive was "butt out mom, I'm the head of him now", but used wisdom in my approach. I asked if she could teach me how to be more organized and to do bills the way she did. I did the same in other areas.

Suddenly I realized I was a lot like her, which is what attracted my husband to me. As any good mom, she prepared him to be a great husband by being a great wife and mom. Naturally he'd had more experience with her rather than me, so I became the woman he needed and built a relationship with my mother in law I never thought possible.

It was my approach, my willingness to be kind of sneaky that turned out to be the best approach every.

Show interest in her and what she is doing that your husband wants, then do it. When trying to defeat an enemy, befriend them by asking their advice. By doing so you may realize she's not an enemy at all & you've learned how to bend situations in the future in your direction.

I chose to pass over the advice from those with multiple broken relationships, they tend to include things like "I don't need to put of with this or that" , unfortunately though it'd be nice to always get our way, that's the position for a single person, yet I chose marriage that includes another person. We each submit to the needs of one another, much happier/everlasting results are the reward.

He's a momma's boy, and she will continue to do it. Maybe you should have a talk with her and him as well and let her no that you and your husband are married incase she forgot and yall can take care of your home, tell her ty for all she does and if yall need her to help you will let her no. Tell your husband you guys are grown and you don't need your mother to cont. to take care your house.

while i do agree with everyone else in the sense that he's a momma's boy, im also wondering why ur so upset about having one less bill to pay?
look sit down and talk to him and tell him how u feel, that's ur husband u need to COMMUNICATE ur feelings. i bet if he knew how u felt he would change things or atleast try

How long have you been married? I hate to say moma's boy but sounds like it.
Why isn't he paying the house note.
If you are working and he's not maybe its a pride thing and he is to proud to ask you.

He`s been brain washed by her into thinking that she`s the only one who knows how to do things properly. I`ve advised my daughters that it`s best to marry an orphan.

Wow, he needs to finish being birthed! Sounds like he still has his head in the womb. You should never put anyone in front of spouse - not kids, parents, siblings, or friends.

He needs to cut the cord. 'Momma's boy' is only cute for so long. You should put your foot down. Tell him he's married to you, not his mother.
