Most foreign cars work in the same manner. It should be in your owners manual too. But try this, Hold in the button for your odometer trip meter, and then turn the power key to the on and then off position. You should see the maintanence lite blink a few times before you turn off the ignition key.

Try disconnecting the battery, then reconnecting it, which will restart the computer. Of course, make sure you know what you're doing when working with the battery so you don't shock yourself.

If you have your owners manual it will tell you how, i own a 2000 Venture and had same problem but my owners manual told me.
