hmmm possibly... if we keep cutting down the forest, they might start evolving too... the might even evole into something far more superior than we could possibly be.

It might be, but think of a pinball. You shoot it up the chute and it goes careening randomly around the table. Shoot it exactly the same way a second time and it would take a different path.
Evolution works in very much the same way. A mutation happens, and that mutation either helps or harms the organism. If it helps it, it not only becomes better at living in a given environment, but it will also tend to produce more offspring. If it is harmed by the mutation, it will tend to produce fewer offspring. Evolution is a series of random mutation events that we only ever see the winners of. The losers tend to disappear over time.
Given that, there were probably many many different forms of early man...modern man was just the most fit to survive, so here we are. It is thought that Neanderthal man was just such a side offshoot. They were not our ancestors, more, rather, distant cousins. They apparently did not have what it took to survive, so they died off.
Since we are in the realm of science fiction, here, if monkeys were to evolve a second time, we would have no guarantee that they would look like us, only that they would also be related to monkeys. Given a different set of evolutionary events, who knows how the "new modern man" would turn out.

Sorry to shatter your day dreaming, but no. Way back long ago, before the monkeys, apes, men and women we recognise today, there was a different creature. It was probably not dis-similar to out modern day apes, but not exactly the same either. So as time went on this creature began to struggle to survive and so had to adapt, only problem was it adapted in different ways: some of them evolved into apes and the like, and others evolved into primitive humans, which then later became the humans we know today. So basically, monkeys/apes won't evolve into humans, but that's not to say they won't further adapt in other ways. They could eventually become a bit more able to do things primitive humans did, but they will technically never reach the stage of being exactly human (although they could turn into something superior, I doubt it, unless us humans really screw up somewhere in the future...)

Not necessarily. Modern apes and monkeys have evolved parallel to modern humans. It's true we are related by an ancient common ancestor, however this ancestor was very dissimilar to any of it's lineage that survives today. This does not completely rule out the possibility that modern apes may one day evolve to be more intelligent and possibly much more like man. Science cannot predict where a species is headed in the future of it's evolutionary journey, the only certainty is that all things will continue to evolve.

Man is NOT descended from apes or monkeys, as anyone with a modicum of scientific knowledge can tell you. There is no-one on earth who thinks that man is descended from apes! Scientists certainly don't. Unfortunately there is a small but vocal population who THINK that scientists think this is true, and spend a lot of time and verbiage trying to prove that it isn't so. They love to call our attention to profound insights we may have missed, such as that perennial favorite, "Apes are still here! So we could not have evolved from them!" YES! That is absolutely correct! As any scientist will tell you without a moment's hesitation.

No. Today's man will make tomorrow's man, which may or may not be significantly different from today's man. Today's ape will make tomorrow's ape, which will be less similar to man than today's ape. The two species are on separate paths of evolution and as each continues to change they will become less similar.

We did not evolve from monkeys, we share a common ancestor to monkeys. So they are evolving into their own independent species. In another 5 million years, monkeys as we know them will be different.

Humans did not descend from current day ape/monkeys. We all had a common ancestor.
