Any way for me to get ford to help pay for it? It's out of warranty, but has always been a bad truck. What's my recouse if the garage has some huge bill-just because THEY couldn't figure it out? Anyone have anything like this?

What do you mean? A 1 week job is now 6 weeks? This does not tell me anything to help you with. Did you have a new engine installed and it lasted only 6 weeks? If so then check your warrantee. i installed a new Ford engine in a explorer and received a full 3 year 36,000 miles warrantee. Reword this question, maybe i can help.

You shouldnt of bought an 01. The best vehicles are anything older than a 99. They dont make em like they used to
