I'll go for chargrilled spicy West Indian chicken, with a few roasted peppers, and a cooling layer of mayonnaise, served in a poppy-seed white roll. The chicken should be nicely warm, with the mayo gently melting into the bread so that it's just starting to dissolve slightly.
Mmmmmm.... hungry now...

A good Reuben is awesome, but most restaurants in my area don't know how to make them... they try, but they fail.
My fave deli sandwich came from a place called the Stage Door Deli (now defunct). shaved pastrami and shaved ham on pumpernickel with cream cheese and sauteed onions. Cole slaw on the side, of course!

Ham and Swiss on rye bread. I like Miracle Whip and tomatoes on it. Of course I've got to have dill pickles on the side.

Corned Beef stacked high on Rye with swiss, lettace, tomatoe, kosher dill and dark mustard.
(and a cold beer)
That's a Pittsburgh thang.
