Going from my experience I told my fiance when I met him that there was NO WAY I was having kids, truth is I love kids but I didn't want him to think woah and back off, once we did the whole falling in love thing I told him I would love a kid, that was 3 months ago, I'm now 2 months pregnant! So most of the time they are saying it so you're not scraed off but also because some don't realise it until they do fall in love.

It depends on age, too.
I used to say that ALL THE TIME. I got pregnant when I was 19, had my first when I was 20. I soon discovered that I was fine with having kids... even had a second one!
If you are talking about someone in their early 20's I'd say that they might very well change as they get older.
However, if having kids is important to you, I would not get seriously involved with someone who is ADAMANT about no kids, either... it can be a huge problem down the road if you are hoping they'll "come around".
Some women may be saying it because of an idea that most men don't want kids, or to reassure a guy that they aren't going to try and "trap" them with a pregnancy, even if it is not what they truly feel.

Some females may try saying that to get your feed back, but there are those who really already know what they want in their young life which may not include kids. They are a life time responsibility, and there are too many ways to prevent unwanted ones.

I think by and large Ti's true, but some women will say what they think you want to hear like men do to women. often until you are in a good relationship you don't want children, then things change.

I'm 30 and right now I don't think I want to have kids. I'm having way too much fun and I have too many things to look forward to to put my life on hold. I might want to have kids one day, but I don't want to live my life through them because I haven't taken opportunities when they have risen.

Maybe it's not that they don't want kids, it might be that they don't want kids with you. I'm sorry, but I know alot of women and when they make that statement it means they don't want that with you. Good luck on finding the woman who you were meant to be with.

I think that a lot of ladies say that they don't want kids until they are completely ready for kids.

Hi Hairbo!
Some people just do not want children. mMaybe some are testing you. It is important to talk about before getting serious. Just as important as it is to go to a doctor before marrying and be sure that everything will be ok to have children

I don't want to have kids... But I'm going to have at least one, cuz I would hate to grow old alone. I don't think it's that uncommon, I can't even imagine actially *wanting* to have children. But many people who don't necessarily *want* to have kids still end up having them for different reasons.
