No.
Actually Rummy needs to be a typical modern Republican type and have his people and himself do the following...

1. Start having scores of people who look like Comic Book Guy from the Simpsons post anti-Democrat blogs with links on every site possible across the web. Remember saturation advertising works and losers need a hobby too!

2. Vehemently deny that there could be anything wrong, and also continue to label anyone that questions your moves as being weak and un-American. Grimace, jab your finger, pound your fist in a dramatic moment, hire a (Republican) drama coach to help you with this if need be.

3. Never apologize or act the least bit humble about anything...ever. Make sure Dubya regularly defends you and makes plenty of "stay the course" type comments. Perhaps he could even pharaphrase his "Your're doing a heck of a job Brownie" comment to "Your're doing a heck of a job Rummy"!

4. Alway dress in a dark blue or black suits and hold your face real tight to convey your naturally held beliefs that you are better than the other 99% of the population.

5. Find a public forum, like the floor of the Senate perhaps, and emulate one of your bosses and tell a high ranking Democrat to "go fu*k himself" if anyone dares to question or challenge you.

6. Make lots of photo-op's with wounded Service Members and stay only long enough for the pictures and then hurry on. Seceretly fly in to war zones for about as long as it takes to get some of this on film.

7. make semi-regular psuedo interview appearances on Fox and anyplace else you are welcomed as a card carrying Republican lackey.

8. Write a book around 2009 or so that defends your actions and paints you in the best possible light while continuing to hammer anyone who questions you.

9. Pretend to be real religious, hug babies, Vets, and old Republican people of different races during photo op's so as to appear that you are not a insensitive racist asshole, appear at many a conservative think tank seminars and religious universities like Liberty University where you get a big bear hug from Jerry Falwell types, then proceed to give firey speeches that blame liberals for any and all precieved public failures and tragedies of the past 75 or so years, to include the horrendous effects of 9/11.

10. Have family members go on a public speaking rampage in your defense, have them shout down interviewers and the like, that always works for the Cheney family.

11. Be sure and pose with the senior Bush family for many a photo op, include a nice shot of you hugging Barbara too. Also quote past Republicans no longer with us who in all likelyhood would be very unhappy and sorely pissed at senior party leadership who have pretty much sold out and whored the Republican party for their own gain....but don't let that stop you from borrowing their old words to help you out!

...And by all means never think or act with a sense of empathy, lest you actually become human.
