A well done hug would be good, and encourage the child to keep doing a better job

I would praise the child for doing such a good job, then encourage them to keep up the good work.
If it was a big something, maybe reward with a movie or a day at the beach, something like that.

You should praise them for a job well done.Kids thrive off of positive reinforcement.

Some praise would be needed to be sure, however, I would not blow sunshine up thier butt indefinitly, ;=).
