Yes most definitely.! Anyone remember the old saying that went:
Sticks and stones may break my bones but names will never hurt me!
The supporters of political correctness have all completely forgotten it and believe other wise.

Yea it has gone too far, I was always taught by my teachers on a Black Board. I had friends who were giving pennies in school for the Black Baby's. A north American Indian was a Red Man? I was a white man and there were Black and Yellow men?. There was at one time a TV show called the Black and White Minstrels. I have often been called a Scotch git or B****** it never troubled me. A guy called me a Scottish A***H*** and I said he was a trouble maker ever since he came up from England. He complained to the police and I was fined £250 quid for making a racist comment????.

To Bl***y true it has gone too far. My wife's father was English a great we gent, One of my Aunts married a German Guy another married a Norwegian Guy hey I'm not racist one of grandchildren was born in Berlin the other in Belfast.

Of course it's gone to far. Our problem in this country is that the so-called minoritiy 'leaders' HAVE to fuel the fires of hatred and racisim in order to keep their base of power and wealth intact. No thinking person would ever take offense at the name 'blackboard' or 'whiteboard'...hell, it IS a black board. How is it that we have come to the point that we are more afraid of offending someone than doing the right thing?
This is the reason I offend dozens of people every day on this forum. Grow some balls and thicken your skin, real life awaits.

It has gone far beyond common sense.... a blackboard is a blackboard.... Sorry libs and PC fans.... the truth is NOT RACIST. Political correctness is an abomination on truth and justice.... PC is racist to the truth.

PC is a tool used by the left to cause trouble where none existed.... it is one of the most dangerous tools they ever devised yet.... but, thankfully, Americans have gotten wise to the disabling practice of PC and are challenging it. Happily, PC did not accomplish its true goal of neutering the USA.... it came close... but NO CIGAR.....

Oh yes. I yearn for the days when you could call something what it was. A blackboard, baa baa black sheep, etc etc. Nowadays if someone calls you a white b*stard i would object to the b*stard bit, cos that is incorrect. but the racists jump on the colour. I consciously chose white so as not to offend. Crazy init?

Yes...it's gone way too far.

Next, they will change the name of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave from 'The White House' to 'The Presidential Residence'

Now, that'll tick off the entire Press Corps.

Politically correctness went TOOOOO far years ago. Lighten up everyone. Never mind if it's politically correct -- Is it really correct? Blacks who aren't really black (but they want me to call them black)call me white and I'm definitly not white. They aren't african-americans if I'm not a swedish -german -scot -irish -italian -cherokee -american.

I'm not follically deficient-- I'M BALD. My wife is not vertically challenged--SHE'S SHORT.

If we are going to put some effort into better relations how about we just use better manners. And to hell with this political correctness. Do we want to end up like the sunnis and shiites, trying to kill each other over something minor?

If it's the truth, what is the problem, what is the problem with telling the truth?
